General

The IPC introduced a new event, 2-way sequential, in the coming world cup competitions.

Records and events

In the summer, there was a training camp in Lake Wales for Egyptian jumpers. Later they built their first 10-way diamond.

World record attempts were again organized in November. The goal was an 81-way diamond. They needed four attempts to build it. The next jump was also a new record, an 85-way diamond. There were 88 jumpers who took part in the record week. All of them used Lightning mains. The organizers of this event were Chris Gay, David Richardson, Brian Pangburn, Mike Lewis (all US) and Chris Balisky (France).

A group of CF jumpers set a few records in Spain. The international team built a 21-way, a 25-way and finally a 30-way diamond in Empuriabrava.

Competitions

The 7th World Cup in CF was held in Arizona, USA. ”Romme rotations” from Sweden won the silver medal in rotation. Gold went to Russia. The sequential event was won by France. 8-speed and 2-way sequential gold medals were won by Russia.
