1975-1976

General

Bobby Gray and Mike ”Beanpole” Barber jumped together and made the first planned canopy contact. They made it in summer 1975.

CRW got a lot of publicity. Some jumpers made demo CRW jumps in the US Nationals in 1976 (I’d like to know who did it?).

There was also a long story in Parachutist (Nov 76) written by Dan Poynter.

The first written rules in Parachutist concerned break off altitudes:
1. With four participants or less: 200 feet AGL
2. With five participants or more: 300 feet AGL

Records

The biggest formation was a 4-way (I hope to get more info).
